Your suggestion below is a good one, because the FAQ states that the MD5SUMS 
are distributed alongside the jigdo files. By following the link 
<http://www.debian.org/CD/jigdo-cd/#which> the user can then choose their 
respective platform to get the MD5SUMS file.

PS, the checksum on the file I downloaded was ok, as was the signature, hooray!

About how to address the b0rked link in the FAQ, I am unsure. Given
that the jigdo files are located below architecture paths there is no
single link that would fit into the FAQ, on the other hand adding links
for every architecture to the FAQ might not be reasonable...

Anyone got some suggestions how to address the issue in a way that is
convenient both to users and the FAQ page? Maybe exchange the link in
the FAQ with one to the arch selection I mentioned above?
