Thomas Lange, the maintainer of FAI, is quite busy ATM.
But, even if adding this fix in tis package might result in optimized
installation times and might be good for FAI itself, it is not necessary
and useful to speed up Debian system boot.
This package _cannot_ be installed in any other system as the FAI
nfsroot and makes absolutely no sense, might even break the system.
The install scripts check for a special file which only exists in the
nfsroot, created by the nfsroot creation script.
I could try to apply your patch in the course of the next weeks, and
talk to Thomas to add it to fai after I tested it, if you insist, but
would prefer not to do so, as I have a large workload currently.
