Hi ! I don't believe it's a good idea to implement this in the package.
More than an init script, a daemon needs other special tricks, like pid file, log file, chroot to "/", setsid etc.. So, it should be implemented upstream first, or simply use the script for your own purpose. I'll add the attached script to documentation of the package.
