Package: gsm-utils
Version: 1.10-12
Severity: wishlist

Hi,

i am a long-time user of gsm-utils to send sms via my cellphone (via rfcomm)
instead of typing it via t9 - I have never used the gsmsmsd and most of
the time i am deleteing the startup script to force gsmsmsd not to get run
on system startup, useless daemons on mobile devices should be eliminated to
save energy ...

I guess only a few of the users of gsm-utils actually use the gsmsmsd so i
whish it would be optional e.g. a /etc/default/gsm-utils offering the option
to run the gsmsmsd and the default to be off.

Thanks

Flo
