I agree with your patch but I am orphaned this package (bug #463849) and now I don't know how to conduct oneself in this situation. I am thinking about asking for removing this package from debian. Maybe you can advise me, what I must do with the opened bugs before removing a package? How to close this bug, if I don't want to update the package?
