Not that I know of -- someone else uploaded the etch backport, and I
don't have access to an x86_64 machine.

You might try building from the source of approx in experimental -- it
no longer depends on ocamlmakefile.  But it needs ocaml 3.10, which is
only in testing, as is one of the libraries.  So there would be a
little bit of work involved, sorry.
