The problem indeed is not related to zope (or python-zopeinterface) but to
pkg_resources, which zope uses. You can easily reproduce it with:
>>> import MySQLdb
>>> import pkg_resources
Reassigning to python-pkg-resources, which is IMHO more appropriate.
