I am in the process of reworking the whole gibraltar-bootcd source package, and one of the issues is to fix gibraltar-bootsupport (the other is to "port" mkinitrd-cd to turn into hooks for initramfs-tools instead of a completely stand-alone initrd creation tool). I expect this conversion to take a few more weeks at least, but after that both issues should be solved.
