Package: tn5250
Version: 0.17.3-2
Severity: wishlist

It would be great if tn5250 would use the wide character API
for output to integrate better into UTF-8 locales.

see: http://www.faqs.org/docs/Linux-HOWTO/Unicode-HOWTO.html#ss6.1

As a workaround one currently needs to
- set the locale to a ISO-8859 variant
  (export LANG=de_DE)
- change the Termial character set to the equivalent character set
to insure the correct display for a map like 273.

Cheers,
David
