maybe not, maybe yes:

1. try to figure out how big cssfiles you need - eg OSB defaults to 4 times
 the proven good value (~250000 bins) 
2. try to figure out how big you really need the processing window size (
 option -w): it defaults to ~8MB but mail*.crm is usually set to look at
 just the first few tens kB of input text; window size shouldn't need to be
 set larger than ~4 times that value, hence crm114 would try to (m)allocate
 far less memory.

1+2 above should lower quite a bit the probability of resource starvation
(as far as crm114 is concerned, that is).
