Package: ftp.debian.org Severity: normal The openldap2 source package is obsoleted by openldap2.3. The only binary package provided by openldap2 is libldap2, superseded by libldap-2.4-2 from openldap2.3; libldap2-dev has already been taken over by the openldap2.3 package.
The only remaining packages in unstable that depend on libldap2 have RC build failures, or are out-of-date on archs that have buildd problems. Please go ahead with removing openldap2, which should not be released with lenny. The openldap2.3 package may eventually be renamed back to openldap2 (or to openldap?), but this isn't practical anyway until all the reverse-deps of libldap2 are resolved in testing.
