Package: git-cvs Version: 1:1.5.4.4-1 Severity: normal git-cvsimport should respect the --bare option when doing an initial import to a new repository and it should detect if a repository is bare when doing an update. Currently, when run with the -C option pointing to a bare repository, git-cvsimport creates a new gitdir under the old repository, like this:
Initialized empty Git repository in <...>/bare.git/.git/ Teemu -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (400, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.24-1-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages git-cvs depends on: ii cvsps 2.1-4 Tool to generate CVS patch set inf ii git-core 1:1.5.4.4-1 fast, scalable, distributed revisi ii libdbd-sqlite3-perl 1.14-2 Perl DBI driver with a self-contai git-cvs recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
