MacOSX Tiger cannot connect from the Finder to a Debian Testing Samba installation. The log files show following messages: rpc_parse/parse_prs.c:prs_mem_get(537) prs_mem_get: reading data of size 2 would overrun buffer. rpc_server/srv_pipe.c:api_pipe_bind_req(919) api_pipe_bind_req: unable to marshall RPC_HDR_RD struct. Some other mac users have the same problem which have discussed it in this forum unfortunatly in german: http://www.macuser.de/forum/showthread.php?t=89869 They claim that with the options encrypt passwords = true and security = user they can mount shares ob the shell.
