I see nothing in ratpoison changed that can cause this. Are you sure
you did not upgrade/change gdm? Do you still have menu-xdg installed
(without menu-xdg gnome cannot show non-gnome/kde window managers).
Could you try downgrading ratpoison to see if that changes anything.
And if it changes nothing tell me your version of gdm so I can properly
reassign thig bug to gdm?
