If I switch windows they receive the focus but (obviously) my mouse pointer gets moved. Then, when I am done e.g. finding and replacing, I close the window using the Escape key (all this works well), but the my mouse pointer has been moved outside the main Lyx window, so it in turn does not have focus, forcing my to switch back to it manually.
