Hi David

I have found the problem now. It turned out to be a localization problem which
explains why it works when you reboot the computer. When run at startup the 
ntop command
will have LANG=C set.

But you probably have some other locale.

I have uploaded a new version now with LANG=C set in the init script. It is not 
a perfect
workaround, but good enough currently as ntop do not have any translations 
anyway.
