Hi,
I just checked out the source and the ChangeLog in the upstream tarball
says: "2005-06-29 ... Finally updated the makedoc.py script to use sax
instead of xmllib". As I understand it, xml.sax is a standard Python
module ( http://docs.python.org/lib/module-xml.sax.html ) so the
python-xml dependency can safely be removed, without modifying the
upstream source. This modification is included in the current Debian
release (5.6.3).
