please. This driver is not suitable for lenny.
As reported by others, since the 2.2.x branch of intel driver, X is
going randomly in some suspend mode, and the only way out of it is a plain
reboot. Sucks.
Can you try a newer version (2.2.1 from unstable, or upstream git)? If
it still crashes, please attach a log from the crash.

"FramebufferCompression" "false" in xorg.conf did fix this problem.

Hmmm, I was already running 2.2.1 at the time of my report, and still am I :
