Hi,

Please give details. How big it is? For me,
/dev/hda2 33G 14G 17G 46% /home

and recoll works fine!

|recoll was working away (according to "top"). It had 850 MB of real

I can't reproduce it here. recollindex will obviously take time and it will
take good amount of space for indexing in your harddisk.

|and the final "kill -9", the system was able to start top, bring up a
|new window
|or two, run kill several times, and also various ps & grep programs.
|So, it wasn't too horribly swap-bound. (Also, recall that recoll was using
|at least 3% CPU for that time, so recoll wasn't completely swap-bound
|either.)
|
|I tried several times to get recoll to index my home directory and had
|to give up.

Really unreproducible and requires more information, tagging it accordingly.

Thanks for your report, I will also talk to upstream regarding this bug. Please
