Thanks for the quick implementation! I wish all (wishlist or other) bug handling would be like this. I think you can upload the package to unstable without worries. Either it will just wonder into Sarge as usual within 10 days - no problem then - or it does not - no problem either, as nothing depends on the package and the change does not interfere with other packages. I'd suggest to upload it as usual.
