Package: whois Version: 4.7.24 Severity: minor Currently the whois configuration lists a default whois server with .uk (whois.nic.uk); however there exist several SLDs which are not operated by Nominet (aka nic.uk). They have no whois server that I am aware of:
- bl.uk - british-library.uk - icnet.uk - jet.uk - mod.uk - nhs.uk - nls.uk - parliament.uk - police.uk This list is extracted from a zone transfer of .uk, serial 2007083101 from ns1.nic.uk - contains all SLDs except the ones operated by Nominet (whois.nic.uk) and JANET (whois.ja.net) Please add "NONE" entries for these domains, since there is no point directing such queries at whois.nic.uk.
