Package: aptitude
Version: 0.4.10-1+b2
Severity: wishlist

Currently, aptitude only scrolls if moving down from the last line on
the screen or up from the first line on the screen. I'd like to see a
minimum scroll margin around the cursor, so I can see the subsequent
packages when scrolling down without having to scroll past where I
want the cursor and then scroll back. Among other things, this makes
it easier and faster to perform the same action on a number of
packages by scanning ahead visually. This would work by having the
screen scroll if moving down with fewer than $MARGIN lines below the
cursor, or moving up with fewer than $MARGIN lines above the cursor.

Please also consider having a default scroll margin other than zero.
I would suggest at least 4, preferably more. (Just a guess, as I
would have to try it to figure out what would work most comfortably.)
