I have unloaded each plugin 1 by 1, and then reloaded them 1 by 1... It seems the problem comes from XChats Chat plugin. When it crashes, pidgin-dbg gives : GLib-GObject: invalid cast from `GtkVBox' to `GtkPaned' Pidgin 2.4.0 had crashed while trying to create a "core" file << I have translated this sentence because its in french in my case. latest update from Sid does not fix the problem (17/03/2008). The problem can be fixed by unloading the Xchats Chat plugin...
