Package: gnome-core Version: 1:2.20.2.2 Severity: normal I go to System -> Preferences -> Sound. I go to Sounds tab, and i enable ESD and Play system sounds. I install gnome-audio. Now gnome system sounds should be played. BUT they are not played. There are 'test' buttons for playing the sound for each event, if I click any of them, nothing is played. If I go to /usr/share/sounds, i can play sound files with any player.
