Package: perlmagick Version: 7:6.3.7.9.dfsg1-2 Severity: grave Hi,
My image gallery, which relies pretty heavily on PerlMagick within mod_perl (under apache2-mpm-worker), suddenly started behaving strangely the other day. In particular, some workers would hang forever and stop answering, and some would segfault: [Fri Mar 14 01:13:43 2008] [notice] child pid 28482 exit signal Segmentation fault (11) After looking at the logs, it became clear that ImageMagick was upgraded recently. Downgrading back to 7:6.2.4.5.dfsg1-2 instantly fixed the problems, and everything was smooth again (as it's been since before sarge was released). -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (800, 'testing'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.25-rc2 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_DK.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_DK.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages perlmagick depends on: ii libbz2-1.0 1.0.4-3 high-quality block-sorting file co ii libc6 2.7-6 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libfreetype6 2.3.5-1+b1 FreeType 2 font engine, shared lib ii libice6 2:1.0.4-1 X11 Inter-Client Exchange library ii libjpeg62 6b-14 The Independent JPEG Group's JPEG ii liblcms1 1.16-8 Color management library ii libmagick9 7:6.2.4.5.dfsg1-2 Image manipulation library ii libpng12-0 1.2.15~beta5-3 PNG library - runtime ii libsm6 2:1.0.3-1+b1 X11 Session Management library ii libtiff4 3.8.2-7 Tag Image File Format (TIFF) libra ii libx11-6 2:1.0.3-7 X11 client-side library ii libxext6 1:1.0.3-2 X11 miscellaneous extension librar ii libxml2 2.6.31.dfsg-1 GNOME XML library ii perl 5.8.8-12 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction ii perl-base [perlapi-5.8 5.8.8-12 The Pathologically Eclectic Rubbis ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.3.dfsg-11 compression library - runtime perlmagick recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
