Is it possible to you save http://people.debian.org/~naoliv/misc/imagemagick/imagemagick.mime as /usr/lib/mime/packages/imagemagick, run "update-mime" and see if you get the expected behavior, please? The only difference is that I have added "priority=0" in the mime file (the theory says that it will use display only as the last resort). Thank you!
