Hi Chris! Using the code that you provided in your bug report (http://bugs.debian.org/441583) with the latest ImageMagick (version 7:6.3.7.9.dfsg1-2, available on testing and unstable), I can't reproduce the error that you saw. It seems to be running correctly.
