Hi,
we (Ubuntu) strictly follow the GNOME HIG. Even for non gnome
applications. It would be nice if you could do it also so we can sync
next time. Thanks.

In Ubuntu, we've applied the attached patch to achieve the following:
* Merge from Debian unstable. (LP: #198796) Remaining Ubuntu changes:
- Modify Maintainer value to match Debian-Maintainer-Field Spec.
- Fix desktop file to be compliant with Gnome HIG.
We thought you might be interested in doing the same.
