However, libgstreamer-plugins-base0.10-0 does not declare python-gst0.10 as a build dependency. Moreover, python-gst0.10 does declare libgstreamer-plugins-base0.10-0 as an install dependency, the upshot of which is that you must already have a working version of libgstreamer-plugins-base0.10-0 installed in order to build it.
