Package: dbconfig-common Version: 1.8.36 Severity: important When apt is used with preconfiguring, answering "No" to the $pkg/dbconfig-install prompt in the preconfiguration phase is ignored and the postinst phase carries on with all the dbconfig-common questions.
(The exact conditions for this to be triggered are that dbconfig-common and apt-utils are already installed, the package contains at least one template, and apt has been configured to invoke dpkg-preconfigure via DPkg::Pre-Install-Pkgs. Suitable packages for testing are at least python-poker-network from unstable and request-tracker3.6 from experimental.) The simple fix would seem to set $dbc_package/internal/skip-preseed around line 107 in dpkg/config, just before returning if the answer was "No".
