Package: liferea Version: 1.4.12-1 Severity: normal Hello.
On first start after upgrading to 1.4.12-1 (from 1.0* I think), it starts but doesn't appear, as it is silently upgrading in the background it seems. No window appears to notify the user if there's a problem whatsoever. I killed it and started it again from a terminal. Now I could see : libnm_glib_nm_state_cb: dbus returned an error. (org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown) The name org.freedesktop.NetworkManager was not provided by any .service files Performing 1.0 -> 1.4 cache migration... copying /home/olivier/.liferea//cache to /home/olivier/.liferea_1.4//cache copying /home/olivier/.liferea//new_subscription to /home/olivier/.liferea_1.4//new_subscription However, it doesn't seem to do anything else. The notification area contains an empty space, which seems to indicate it was started, but the icon is not drawn yet. Maybe a dialog script while it upgrades would be interesting at least ? Also, tryng to strace -f -p on it I get : [pid 16477] clock_gettime(CLOCK_REALTIME, {1204613303, 892974941}) = 0 [pid 16477] futex(0x80c6b8c, 0x80 /* FUTEX_??? */, 2133) = -1 ETIMEDOUT (Connection timed out) [pid 16477] futex(0x81dd5a8, 0x81 /* FUTEX_??? */, 1) = 0 [pid 16477] gettimeofday({1204613304, 393302}, NULL) = 0 [pid 16477] clock_gettime(CLOCK_REALTIME, {1204613304, 393413828}) = 0 [pid 16477] futex(0x80c6b8c, 0x80 /* FUTEX_??? */, 2135) = -1 ETIMEDOUT (Connection timed out) [pid 16477] futex(0x81dd5a8, 0x81 /* FUTEX_??? */, 1) = 0 [pid 16477] gettimeofday({1204613304, 893733}, NULL) = 0 [pid 16477] clock_gettime(CLOCK_REALTIME, {1204613304, 893843073}) = 0 [pid 16477] futex(0x80c6b8c, 0x80 /* FUTEX_??? */, 2137) = -1 ETIMEDOUT (Connection timed out) [pid 16477] futex(0x81dd5a8, 0x81 /* FUTEX_??? */, 1) = 0 [pid 16477] gettimeofday({1204613305, 394170}, NULL) = 0 [pid 16477] clock_gettime(CLOCK_REALTIME, {1204613305, 394282459}) = 0 Hope this helps.
