I also tried the sbcl 1.0.15 binary supplied on the sbcl sourceforge page with the same results.
Trying to compile the 1.0.15 sources using sbcl fails because of the reported problem. Using cmucl to build sbcl also caused some error, which I did not invesitgate further. Running "strace -p <sbcl-pid>" after a hangup results in endless lines of --- SIGSEGV (Segmentation fault) @ 0 (0) --- --- SIGSEGV (Segmentation fault) @ 0 (0) --- --- SIGSEGV (Segmentation fault) @ 0 (0) --- --- SIGSEGV (Segmentation fault) @ 0 (0) --- --- SIGSEGV (Segmentation fault) @ 0 (0) --- --- SIGSEGV (Segmentation fault) @ 0 (0) --- --- SIGSEGV (Segmentation fault) @ 0 (0) --- --- SIGSEGV (Segmentation fault) @ 0 (0) --- --- SIGSEGV (Segmentation fault) @ 0 (0) --- --- SIGSEGV (Segmentation fault) @ 0 (0) --- Hope that helps.
