Package: acpid Version: 1.0.6-5 Severity: important
When I close the lid, the cpu goes to about 80% and keeps going. When I open the lid, the cpu keeps running for a long time. Watching ps shows that acpid is spawning /etc/acpi/lid.sh over and over again. /etc/acpi/actions/lm_lid.sh is also run from time to time. Restarting acpid makes no changes. I updated the package from Lenny to see if it was already fixed. That is to say, this bug also happens in that version (1.0.4-7.1). The laptop is a Acer Travelmate 4062. Running Lenny (with very few Sid packages). Attached is the log of closing and opening the lid in a short time. I modified lid.sh (added "set +x") as per suggestion on #debian -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.24-1-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=es_UY.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=es_UY.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages acpid depends on: ii libc6 2.7-6 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii lsb-base 3.1-24 Linux Standard Base 3.1 init scrip acpid recommends no packages. -- no debconf information
