First of all, thanks for pinging us about this. I'm a big Debian fan :) libgmail seems to be broken for an increasingly large set of accounts. My current theory is that the login process has changed substantially, and libgmail/urllib2 isn't pretending to be a browser well enough to keep up with the change. Our associated SF bug is: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1831375&group_id=113492&atid=665330 That said, given that Google has now made IMAP access to libgmail available, it seems that the right thing for users of libgmail to do is to rewrite their applications to use the IMAP interface; it'll (presumably) be more robust and break less often. This is probably the most desirable for the gmailfs people to do, if they're willing.
