tor uses su in its init.d script. With selinux installed (following some simple howto somewhere), this prompts for changing the security context, making the init.d script interactive at startup. Part of the fault might also lie in the way su/the selinux support handles this, but note that tor's seems to be one of the very few (the only one?) init.d scripts that has the problem.
