I'm provinding additional information related to this bug as I don't think it makes any sense to reopen the bug which is already solved for newer versions.
The information provided at the message above did not work for me. My version of virtualbox-ose script already had a line: /sbin/modprobe -qr vboxdrv || true as sugested, but the script still returned an error signal. The attempt to remove the old version of the package before installing the new one also stopped at the same point.
