Package: gap-matrix-schreiersims
Version: 0.9.20041122-3
Severity: normal

gap-matrix-schreiersims's doc-base file uses a legacy 8-bit encoding
(ISO 8859-1 or a close variant) to encode the non-ASCII characters in
its Author field. However, some tools assume/expect UTF-8 (or pure
ASCII, which is a subset):

/usr/share/omf/doc-base/gap-matrix-schreiersims-doc/gap-matrix-schreiersims-doc-C.omf:5:
parser error : Input is not proper UTF-8, indicate encoding !
Bytes: 0xE4 0xE4 0x72 0x6E
                <creator>Henrik Brnhielm</creator>
                                 ^

AFAIK, there's no way to arrange for the generated .omf file to
specify a different encoding, so reencoding the original doc-base file
is definitely the way to go; could you please take care of it when you
get a chance?

Thanks!
