Yes, edit /etc/default/snort and set ALLOW_UNAVAILABLE to 'yes'. That will
make it possible to start snort even if configured to use an interface it
does not exist. Or, alternatively, add an 'exit 0' to the top of the init.d
script.

After this, dpkg --configure --pending and then reconfigure.
