Package: python-textile
Version: 2.0.10-3.1
Severity: important

        Hi !

As it seems, python-textile doesn't follow the specifications linked
here: http://www.textism.com/tools/textile/index.php

This snipet:
<pre>
<code>
        $text = str_replace("<p>%::%</p>","",$text);
        $text = str_replace("%::%</p>","",$text);
        $text = str_replace("%::%","",$text);

</code>
</pre>

Should render:
$text = str_replace("<p>%::%</p>","",$text);
$text = str_replace("%::%</p>","",$text);
$text = str_replace("%::%","",$text);

Instead, all <p> are processed (stripped)

The same comes for textile markup inside the code, like #, * etc..
