Hi Drew, with t1-cyrillic the fonts are installed in /usr/share/fonts/X11/Type1/, but the /etc/defoma/hints/t1-cyrillic.hints file lists them as being in /usr/share/fonts/type1/cyrillic.
Fixing grace6 would mean to add a protection mechanism against faulty debian packages, which would indeed avoid much hassle for a lot of grace/grace6 users, but would not increase the quality of debian software as a whole. I would rather leave it this way and fix the other packages, on the one hand, and add additional lintian checks on the other hand. I will reassign the bug to the t1-cyrillic package, where it belongs.
