sorry, i made a mistake, i wanted to write "setxkbmap -model pc105 -layout ca -variant multi", you're right oin tha one, my bad. and yeah, it is ALTGR+1. (the ALT at the right of the spacebar, we (well people in my country) used to say only ALT...), right now I'm in X in KDE with the canadian multilingual keymap, and ALTGR+1 does make a ±. (I can also do |[EMAIL PROTECTED]<>«»° with ALTGR+something-else. These keys are not all written on my keyboard(I have a real ca-multi keyboard), only |{}[]¬`~°><«» are actually written. -- Bruno Lambert
