Package: xfce4-sensors-plugin Version: 0.10.99.4~svn-r3775-1 Severity: normal
On my Mac mini Core Duo, I use the applesmc driver to gather sensor information. The sensors output looks like this: $ sensors coretemp-isa-0000 Adapter: ISA adapter Core 0: +44.0°C (crit = +100.0°C) coretemp-isa-0001 Adapter: ISA adapter Core 1: +41.0°C (crit = +100.0°C) applesmc-isa-0300 Adapter: ISA adapter Master : 1806 RPM (min = 1500 RPM) temp1: +49.0°C temp2: +49.0°C In the Xfce sensors plugin, the fan speed was shown with "0" after login. However, the fan is always running with at least 1500 rpm. The update interval is set to 30 seconds, and the 0 was shown for several minutes after the login. Then I moved the mouse over the sensor plugin display, and the fan speed was immediately updated to the correct value. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.24.2 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages xfce4-sensors-plugin depends on: ii libatk1.0-0 1.20.0-1 The ATK accessibility toolkit ii libc6 2.7-8 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libcairo2 1.4.14-1 The Cairo 2D vector graphics libra ii libfontconfig1 2.5.0-2 generic font configuration library ii libfreetype6 2.3.5-1+b1 FreeType 2 font engine, shared lib ii libglib2.0-0 2.14.6-1 The GLib library of C routines ii libgtk2.0-0 2.12.8-1 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libpango1.0-0 1.18.4-1 Layout and rendering of internatio ii libpng12-0 1.2.15~beta5-3 PNG library - runtime ii libsensors4 1:3.0.1-1 library to read temperature/voltag ii libx11-6 2:1.0.3-7 X11 client-side library ii libxfce4util4 4.4.2-1 Utility functions library for Xfce ii libxfcegui4-4 4.4.2-1 Basic GUI C functions for Xfce4 ii libxrender1 1:0.9.4-1 X Rendering Extension client libra ii xfce4-panel 4.4.2-2 The Xfce4 desktop environment pane ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.3.dfsg-11 compression library - runtime Versions of packages xfce4-sensors-plugin recommends: ii hddtemp 0.3-beta15-41 hard drive temperature monitoring ii lm-sensors 1:3.0.1-1 utilities to read temperature/volt -- no debconf information
