It's an stupid bug IMHO. I cannot build a backport because pbuilder doesn't build. And it's not a dependency problem (you could modify the xorg,etc. Simple, the source is in bzip2 and in a pbuilder environment there's no bzip2. So, or provide a gz source to build, or simple, add bzip2 as build-depends.
