Hi, I am the Sonata developer and I'm having trouble replicating your bug. What gtk theme do you use? When Sonata is open, do you see text in the tabs (e.g. Current, Library, Info, etc.)?
I may have to send you a sonata.py file to use that has extra debugging info since I'm at a loss as to how you are coming across this problem. But please answer the above questions first.
