As I said in #445247 (a twin bug of this one), I basically agree with the bug and I'm still waiting for the promised fix in the upstream side. It's been a few day since I pinged upstream about this issue and it does not seem Sergio is interested in applying this trivial and useful fix so I'd say it's time to do it from the Debian side. Despite that, I won't be able to do an upload to fix the bug until 2/23 because I'm overloaded with exams and work right now and this bug does not look like a 'must-be-fixed-right-now' bug.
