Package: lftp Version: 3.6.1-1 Followup-For: Bug #335335 I was trying to connect to another machine using fish protocol. lftp would just give me the retrying message when I try to do an 'ls' and no other info.
When I eventually tried to connect with ssh directly, I saw that there was a spoof error (due to changed ip addrs). lftp really should supply more info when something other than a timeout is interfering with the connection. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.22-3-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages lftp depends on: ii libc6 2.7-6 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libgcc1 1:4.3-20080116-1 GCC support library ii libgcrypt11 1.4.0-3 LGPL Crypto library - runtime libr ii libgnutls13 2.0.4-1 the GNU TLS library - runtime libr ii libgpg-error0 1.4-2 library for common error values an ii libncurses5 5.6+20080119-1 Shared libraries for terminal hand ii libreadline5 5.2-3 GNU readline and history libraries ii libtasn1-3 1.2-1 Manage ASN.1 structures (runtime) ii netbase 4.30 Basic TCP/IP networking system ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.3.dfsg-11 compression library - runtime lftp recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
