Package: fglrx-kernel-2.6.24-1-amd64 Version: 8.45.4-1+2.6.24-2 Severity: important
Hello, fglrx 3d driver is somehow different from driver fetched directly from ATI. Example: I play a wurm game <http://www.wurmonline.com>. It is unable to run the game using fglrx driver available in Debian since 8.42.x. I tried to run wurm with 8.42.something (sorry, I do not remember the exact version), 8.43.4 and with current 8.45.4. Wurm is succesfully running with 8.433 drivers available directly from ATI. I'd be glad if you would make Debian driver works in the same way as original ATI driver. Additionaly, with current setup (8.45.4) it is impossible to run even fgl_glxgears. It just blinks with the window's frame then exit with the message on stderr: X Error of failed request: GLXUnsupportedPrivateRequest Major opcode of failed request: 144 (GLX) Minor opcode of failed request: 16 (X_GLXVendorPrivate) Serial number of failed request: 41 Current serial number in output stream: 42 fglrxinfo says: display: :0.0 screen: 0 OpenGL vendor string: ATI Technologies Inc. I am going to check it with the current drivers from ATI and I'll report it ASAP. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.24-1-amd64 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=pl_PL (charmap=ISO-8859-2) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages fglrx-kernel-2.6.24-1-amd64 depends on: ii fglrx-driver 8.45.4-1 non-free AMD/ATI r5xx, r6xx displa Versions of packages fglrx-kernel-2.6.24-1-amd64 recommends: ii linux-image-2.6.24-1-amd64 2.6.24-2 Linux 2.6.24 image on AMD64 -- no debconf information -- Po co mamy ze sobą rozmawiać, skoro tak łatwo się komunikować? /Jean Baudrillard/ -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
