Hi, My squid configuration file is /etc/squid.conf, not e.g. /etc/squid/squid.conf ... I presume because this machine has had Debian in various versions on it for so long that the squid config location has changed?
Correct. It changed quite some time ago, though I'm not sure where. One day I just noticed that my /etc/squid.conf had been replaced with a symlink to /etc/squid/squid.conf.
