Hi everybody, sorry for the post-crossing, but I tried to solve these two bugs with a new kmess package (1.5 final version) based on the kmess 1.5-pre2 package from experimental.
I've upgraded the package to the latest version and done these changes. If someone would like to review and/or sponsor this nmu, or simply take my work to do a new package release.
