Load, apparently.  All of the details are in the bug log, unfortunately -
I have nothing that was sent to me out of band.

In order to reproduce a heavy load, you can do some variant of 

while true; do
  echo CONTSCAN /path/to/dir | nc localhost 3310
done

(assuming clamd is listening on TCP socket, otherwise you can use
clamdscan /path/to/dir &)

clamd will stop accepting requests when it hits whatever MaxThreads is
set to, but this will keep it at a consistently busy state.
